At Ask the Ages, we're curious guys. Curious about what book you've been reading, about a hike we just heard of, about which Zevon album to check out next. That's because we're all about finding, sharing, and experiencing what's great.
The idea with this little incense shop we've got cooking, is to investigate and share how rich, powerful, and thoughtfully made scents can lead to deeper, more meaningful experiences.
Incense has enriched lives for millennia, helping create the atmospheres that push us into deeper intimacy with family, friends, and the divine. Whether you want to create a devotional space, add a je ne sais quoi to lazing on a Sunday morning with the fam, or spark your own creativity, lighting incense gives intention, meaning, and shape to your space.
Ask the Ages began as, of all things, a radio show. Josh and I are both lifelong music fans with deep, ofter-overlapping, and occasionally incongruous tastes. In 2021 we started Ask the Ages as a two-hour music show on WRFR in midcoast Maine and were off the races discovering, sharing, and experiencing new sounds.
Our shared curiosity and kinship has blossomed into this, an incense shop, a reason to travel, a chance to share and connect, a vehicle for deeper discovery.
Aaron Britt
Aaron lives in Midcoast Maine where he reads, hikes, plays tennis, listens to music and spends as much time in community as he can swing. A longtime journalist and creative director, Aaron is the publisher of The Midcoast Villager, a local newspaper with an old soul.
Josh Builder
Josh Builder splits his time between Brooklyn and Midcoast Maine, where he's just as likely to be organizing his record collection as organizing a dinner party. Josh was a longtime tech exec, but he'd much rather bend your ear about Tibetan Buddhism, the Velvet Underground, and where to find the best oysters.
